India drops 2 places in latest Fifa rankings

New Delhi: Indian football team slipped 2 places to be at 132th in the latest FIFA rankings issued on Thursday.

India not playing any international match during the past month, India lost 11 aggregate points — 233 as against 244 last month.

India lost 2 spots to be placed between Guyana (131st) and Tajikistan (133rd). India are now ranked 19th among the Asian countries.

Iran continued to lead the chart of Asian countries at 33rd, followed by South Korea (40th), Japan (51st), Australia (55th) and Saudi Arabia (57th).

In overall rankings, Argentina are on top, followed by Brazil, Germany, Chile, Belgium.
